Exclamation Over heating

Any of you guys ever have a problem overheating at idle? I start driving and it cools down like a motorcycle or something. I've replaced the thermostat, Iat, ECT, and temp switch new water pump about 2 months ago. Aside from maybe a blocked passage in the radiator or something I'm at a loss. any help would be awesome. thanks.

The fan does come on but it seems like it doesn't stay on long at all. I was thinking the fans motor was bad, I jumped it and it works.

My b17 does that as well, cant leave her running for too long or the temp goes up to 210 and thats when my fan finally kicks on. Already put in a Spoon Sports thermostat which did no good. Figured my next step would be a better radiator (still stock). I had a ton of air in the system on my 240 and just resolved her heating issue by parking her on an incline to get it all out.

have you flushed the radiator out? are you still getting air bubbles after you refill the system and burp it from replacing the parts you have installed?

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

if its at the point where its clogging i don't think a flush will do anything, a flush works much better as preventative measure

Idk I thought is really odd. I'm leaning torwards the radiator, i have and eg and i was thinking of putting in a radiator out of a teg. Anyone ever done this? The stock radiator is the same one for the DOHC delsols and the SI. I figured a little more cooling area could'nt hurt.

Instead of throwing parts at it, try this. Let the car run at idle with A/C off. Raise the rpms until temp gauge says the fan should be on. If the fan is not on, hit it with something like a large wrench a few times and see if the fan kicks in.
