i looked today and definately saw that the pedal assembly on the clutch has broken a weld at the center shaft axis.

shit sucks... im thinking since i hammered the shaft back into place that i would throw a lil weld on there and maybe reinforce it with a welded piece of round bar... hopefully it'll do the trick. i dont see why it wouldn't. if i were to replace the "whole" assembly with a new one, then i don't see why that wouldn't break just like this one... so a lil weld and reinforcement should make it even stronger.....

thanks again guys

hey man, i have a good friend with a crx that had the same issue with his misc swaps thru-out the years. trust me, if the weld is good and true, you should shift just fine.
