I have a 2000 civic si, B16a2 motor. It smokes alot(white smoke), changed out the cat, o2 sensors cause I took it to the honda dealership and thats what they told me that it was. And still after 3 months it still smokes, car is still driveable, but not driven because I already got a ticket for smoke.

There is no coolant in the oil or oil in the coolant, and the smoke smells of carbon. I think that I may need to replace the piston rings, and would like to know how much it usually costs for something like that, and if you got any recommendations to any shops that can do a good job.

Been to 2 shops that performed (or claims that they did) compression and leak down tests and said that it was okay. Can't trust them now. Need help with price range so I know when I can get it done. Thanks!

 

try taking off your cat back and see if it still smoke out of the exhaust. make sure it is not condensation built up in the exhaust. I dunno really just a thought! g/l

 

i would be happy to do a cylinder leak down test for you and give you a price on whatever i find to be the problem. do you have a check engine light on?

nope, no check engine light. DemonCivic, pm me your number and location, cause I can't really drive the car anywhere cause might get another ticket for smoking too much.
