From what I know the Z6 head flows better. I know of a fully built d16z6 making 354 whp with 267 ft lbs of torque on 15 lbs of boost.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

I use too be a d series guy. try D-series.org. from what i can remember, the y8 has a more aggressive cam, flows a bit better and high/comp quench areas (i know that for sure).

fuck head flowing. with some head work you can do whatever, with whichever. here what id choose.

d16a6 for the reason for a cast iron girdle, proven fact that its stronger than the z6 and y8. you could mini me if you wanted too, but i wouldnt trust it with boost. jsut my pref. my friend has a z6/y7 mini me boosted and it hauls ass with no probs.
id boost an a6 and convert too obd-1. with y8 manifold. id z6/a6 mini me if were too mini me. there are so many options. all will work well.

yonkee correct?

ps. tuning is key. i still think the y8 outflows the z6. cant remember correctly. there are just too many different variables. the y8 head on a mini me will give you higher compression, but you can get a cometic head gasket too compensate for that (sp). bruh, this can go on and on. just get on d-series.org. TR is NOT a great source of information. once again, its been a while and i could be off a bit.
