i have a 1987 civic hatch with a 1.6 DOHC jdm zc swap and i have a couple of d16a6 engines which i guess is the same engine just the American version. im plannin on building up one of these engines for when the one in it blows and i was wonderin what kind of upgrades can i do to the d16a6 engine and what ecu's i could use to maximize horsepower

yeah ive been to that site but im tired of searchin and readin and it seems like all im finding are dead ends, im lookin for info on what will work good together im building the engine for higher compresion and i want to put some mild cams in it no turbo or nos just engine

 

how much power you lookin for??? d16a6 is the strongest bottom end for sohc they got steel crank girdles. all others are alum

 

actually my spare d16a1's are dohc too, and power wise i would like to make as much as i can n/a on high octane pump gas, i was thinking higher compression with some baddass cams but i dont know a good combo???

 

these engines are soo hard to blow

 

still lookin for a good combo to run???
