spun bearing?

Default spun bearing?

if you spin a rod bearing is the crank for sure messed up?

yea i just pulled it apart, huge gauge out of the crank but the rod was perfect. so the culprit was the rod bolt came loose and the bottom half of the rod fell off.

if you have a spun bearing u might as well get that rod brand new to. wut happends is when the bearing spun it took metal off the rod to. if you use the same rod itll spin again

not really,it will only Scar the rod what happens to the bearing is it starts to heat up and form to the rod journal then compress as it spins and eats up the crank.as for the rod you should be able to clean it and polish it

simple - the rod is either eaten up on the big end or it's not. If it isn't, measure or have it measured to be sure all is in spec.

ok go ahead and put the rod wit the spun bearing back on wit new bearings and see if dont spin another bearing
