Rep given here...
I have never done any kind of body work, so bear with newb type question, lol...
I am buying an almost exact match for my door on my 95 civic ex coupe. I am not sure if it has power or crank windows, or what the door panel is like. I will be putting my old panel on the new door, along with the window motor if need be.
How difficult and what is involved to change the door? Its the driver side, btw.
Do i need any special tools?
Do i need a helper?
How long will it take?
Rep for all answers, thanks in advance...

um its not that hard, and a helper would be a good idea. if you were closer to me i would offer to help you out. but basically where the hing goes to the car is where you take the bolts of... you might need to take the fender off too

no dammit, im asking, what if the new door is a non power door, does that make it difficult to swap the power stuff from the old door(motor and gears) to the non power door???

^+1 x 2 helpers would be great!
I changed the driver side door on my hatch like a month ago and it was just a pain in the ass to hold up the door and line up that stupid little hinge type thingy with that little thing you have to hammer out from between it (I dont know how to describe it but you will know what I am talking about when you get to it) for the door to come loose!
Just takes alot of patience and a good helper to do stuff while your holding the door.

If you have not as of yet actually purchased this new door I would make sure that you can actually do the non-power to power swap before purchasing it. And you will need at least two people to accomplish the task. Three's even better. The door itself should not be a problem its the non-power to power conversion that may be a little tricky.

before you take your old door off I'd suggest taking something to mark where the old door was hung exactly. Both on the body and on door hinge brackets. Then measure on the "new" door where the marking on the old door was then align. Should make it a bit easier when you go to re-align everything.
