check the tensioner? see if you can get like a long screwdriver or a stethescope and hear the noise. Find out where its coming from. Is this noise only duplicated when driving or can you idle it and rev it up to hear the noise?

doesn't make the noise when at idle or subsequently reving it up out of gear. It only makes the noise when driving, the the car is in motion.

if you jack it up properly i dont see why not
youre not gonna set cruise control at 80mph and youll have the ebrake on as long as your careful how you do it you should be fine
