93 hatch overheating
hey guys so my hatch is gettin real hot after about an hour of driving time sometimes less. the fans not coming on at all but I hot wired it to the battery and it came on. does this mean that the relay is bad? and also if its not the relay I was told this could be the temp sensor. how can I determine this?
+1 on thermostat
just replace it... real easy fix and cheap

Theres a temp sensor on the thermostat housing that controls the cooling fans. But check the relay with a friends fist if you can it's in the fuse box under the hood. And a quick way to see if your thermostat is bad is to feel the upper radiator hose and compare it against the lower one after the car has warmed up, if the lower one is alot cooler your thermostat is bad
