Default Anyone got a VTEC motor laying around? Quick Question!

Hey, can you go look at the back where the oil filter screws on and see if your bung comes out? I'm wondering if the b16 or GSR bung unscrews like the R does.

Background: I am trying to hook a maxspeed oil cooler to a b18c5 but due the fact the USDM R comes with a stock (and cheesy) form of oil cooler, the bung is longer to make room for it. The stock cooler is just a ring that water passes thru from a hose in the back. I would need to remove that stock cooler to put my aftermarket sandwich plate on, but as I said, the R bung is too long.

OK, I've had a few calls on this already and I don't understand. How come the Type R oil bung can unscrew from the block, yet all others are machined into it? Secondly, anyone have experience with a maxspeed oil cooler system? Or any sandwich plate design oil cooler system? How come this doesn't fit up properly?!

hheh yes it unscrews but the bad part is they are put on when the block is finish and are made not to be taken off"meaning"there is no nut or flang or anything only viseGrips but then you will mess up the threads good news is honda does sell them and thy are cheap

Yes, #13. I guess I will swing by the Acura dealer but if it's the same length as the R it will put me right back where I am. I'll have to see if there are different part numbers for the different models of Integras. Thanks a lot.
