how to take out my alternator in my EF

Default how to take out my alternator in my EF

i have a b16 swap in my EF. i have the alternator off the bracket. i tried taking off the bottom alt bracket and taking the alt out towards the wheel well. i have also taken off my oil filter trying to take it out thu the bottom. do i have to lower or raise my engine or something? im stuck!!!! please HELP!!!

drop the lower cotrol arm where it meets the chasis and might have to disconect the sway bar. might have to take the axle out too.

i just tie a rope or string to mine and lower it down,works good for putting it back in too!

i was doing some research...... i found on honda-tech that some guys pull the alt up thru the throttle body side. is there any truth to this?

well with the intake manifold i have (AEBS) it is not feasible. i tried and to no avail i had no luck with it. i've had enough of this shizzle just for an alt, im about to put some notches on the rear crossmember slide that fucker out and call it a day.

you can get it out from the bottom without removing anything, but it is time consuming for it requires a lot of wiggling and shit like that. just take out the axle. why notch your crossmember and possible weaken it.

easiest way is undo the 2 12mm bolts holding on the master cyl pull it forward and BAMMM pull it right up you will not harm anything i do it amillion times when working on thos cars
