Default Problem on my way to work

I have a short shifter and im driving on my way to work....so i really dont have time to stop and look at it but...it feels like the shifter is...broken or a screw came loose. i have to push the shift knob allll the way to the right just to get it in 5th. When its in gear the shift knob moves around all by itself. i can move it left to right whiles its in gear.

The nut and bolt underneath the shifter fell off. Just get under your car and you should see it right under the shift knob.

lol... yep same thing here. it scared the crap outta me. i was in traffic though, so getting over and into a parking lot was a lot of fun.

be careful not to over tighten it, it will make shifting feel stiff. i just used some locktite so i wouldnt have to worry about it.
