it really depends on what your goals are. if you're looking for a stupid amount of power, then yeah sure, use that one. you would have to change your driving habits a bit to stay in boost, but that isn't that much of an issue... turbo lag is only an issue if you are stubborn and don't want to change your ways.
some turbos work better than others, but they all do the same thing... so the really simple answer is, yes, it will boost your car.
they say that the bigger turbos are for bigger engines because the bigger engines move more exhaust and therefore, spool a bigger turbo easier resulting in less turbo lag... but at 7,000 rpms, it doesn't really matter.
figure out what your goals are and we can be of more help

you posted while i was typing...
650 out of your ls isn't going to be that hard to get... you might need a touch more than the 20-25 you were talking about earlier, but fully built, you ought to be fine.
for your fuel questions, hit up google and do a search for injector size calculator. you ought to find a site that explains all it. there is actually a right injector size for every set up, and it isn't just bigger is better.
make sure that the rest of your build can handle your power goals. you're gonna want to get head work done. a forged bottom end, that can handle higher rpms.
forged, balanced, fueled, and tuned, and you ought to have the power you are looking for.

i thought both of those were inline sixes??? if not, i'm going to be really really embarassed (evan almighty voice) lol
also i have stated my goals, i'm not really looking to buy a new turbo as of yet. the question i stated was would this turbo be benneficial (sp) to my setup. the head will be replaced w/ a type-r in the near future. how near depends on the news of this turbo...
