plus one...honda did a good job building the y8 head useing nicer valve springs..a better flowing manifolds and they are both made to be alot lighter .they made the intake lighter alonger with shorter runners and chamber it is a great head....just buy a aftermarkt stage one or 2 cam and they will give you alittle more pep

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

gude heads work great, but they're kinda pricey! lol personally, i like to do my own porting and after talking for hours with ol roy him self, i do mine pretty much the same as him, but it's hard work and very very time consuming! the best thing that you can get from him is the cams! he has some great grinds that perform really good, but again they're expensive!
if you can got your porting done, a set of good light weight valve components, an adj. cam gear, a big throttle body (ls or bigger), and an after market intake or at least a y8 that has the ports matched and has been pollished, all you need is one of gude's cams, and then a good dyno tune.
if you're planning a high hp n/a motor, you'll need more than just the top end though, you'll have to do alotta work on the bottom end too!!!!!!
oh yeah, if you call and talk to the guys out there at gude, sometimes you can get them to cut you a deal!
