I'm took apart my EF headlights for cleaning and got some ideas. I thought about gettin some duplicolor and painting it chrome and gettin some ebay projectors and using the clear lens. Does anyone have pics of something like this or any other ideas!

duplicolor "chrome" is not going to be chrome... at all. it will be a shiny silver if that!

I've modified a few headlights. I would make some cardboard templates
before I start any cutting. If you can post up some pics of what you want to do, that might inspire us a bit......-Bob

 

I don't have a camera at the moment I'll try and borrow the neighbors after dinner. I took the lens off of my headlight to clean it and freshen it up. I looked over at the headlights on the van and thought it would be nice to swap a clear lens over and redo the inside of the headlight . I think duplicolor chrome on plastic would give the look I'm going for. Does anyone know where I can get a clear turn signal cover. I'm talking totatlly see through?? I'm just tossing ideas around in my head. I want to keep the "stock" look but also want to improve lighting and looks. I've found a good write up on head light how to's but none covered anything besides painting the inside of the headlamp assym. black. I've got one broken lens that I need to replace so I'm just trying to get ideas on what to buy. I figure I can purchase ebay projectors far cheaper than I could get a new headlight and just swap over the lens. Any ideas?? Again this is on an 89 creme color hatch.
