Why pull the motor when all you need to remove is the axle and intermediate shaft?

So What About The Oil Filter Method? Will That Work Or Not. Just Asking Before I Start Working On It. Iv Always Pulled The Axel But Wondered If I Could Just Remove The Oil Filter Instead

i can be taken out without taking out the axle (i've done it) but requires a lot of wiggling and patience. but just take out the axle. easy as pie.

I just swapped a few of these this week....................darn it.
...........but not your specific car.

The oil filter trick did not work, since I needed clearance between the engine block and the subframe. Shifting the alt to the oil filter area didn't get that clearance for me.

I popped the upper ball joint, and the coilover pinch bolt, effectively dropping the axle lower, without removal.-Bob
