Default 00 civic si clutch and pressure plate question

right now there is a what I was told when I bought the clutch a spec stage 3 clutch in my 00 civic si. the clutch is way to firm and not easy to drive on the road. also so far my slave, master, and fork broke because of this clutch. Come to find out there might be a cheap a$$ xtd clutch in there.

I was wondering can I change just the clutch disc out to like an act stage 1 street disc and reuse the xtd pressure plate?

will that work? will it be just as firm as now or will it ease up?

I have never heard of a clutch causing a clutch fork to break.
Get your self a new clutch kit all together...

The pressure plate is what makes it firm. Unless you have a modded motor you might not need a killer pp.

A new clutch kit disc/pressure plate/alignment tool, etc. will have compatable parts, and since you don't know for sure what you have,
you might try that.

Is your motor modded?-Bob
