He has the instruments/SAFC's, etc to tune it back minus the turbo.

See if he has time to work on it. He has done a lot of research on how to make them work.-Bob

he might have put low comp pistons in it...low comp+no boost=slow...could be running rich too...get your self a turbo kit I say and get her boosted again....take that head off and see if there is stock slugs in it...if not you will have to boost it again...unless yu want to get yur cr up again...and that means rip her down... g/l and feel free to let us all help you through this...thats why we here brotha... rep points

First off, I would try to check and see what ECU the car has. Might be a chipped/tuned p28 setup for the turbo, so its running rich like mad. Maybe you can pick up a virgin p28 and see if that helps also.

My engine was built on the stock ECU, and it ran loud and slow just like his is doing. The kid that sold it might have ran a stock ECU with all the upgrades (if he did anything at all) which would confuse the hell out of it, and cause it to go into the dreaded bog mode, which would account for it running rich and slow. I would check to see if the ECU is stock, and I would definitely have a look at the internals on the car before going back to boost, lest it be stock.

i think i'm going to throw a cheap turbo kit on it and see what happens thanks for all your help especially terry ho who checked everything out and now i know where i am with the car a little better

probly hf manifold, saab turbo, and xs power type s bov w or w/o a intercooler not sure if i want to get one right away all piping + downpipe at a muffler shop, that's the plan for now anyway
