Question is for a 93 civic 1.5 dx. Does it have a thermocoupler sensor that tells the radiator fan to turn ON? If so where is it.I have replaced everything new radiator,thermostat,hoses water pump etc. it just seems that the fan isnt coming on.First noticed this after going on a trip to orlando,while the car was idleing i noticed the temp was real high turned it off waited about 30 min let it idle again and the fan came on like normal.

 

there is a fan switch, on your car its on the thermostat housing. 2 pin sensor.

WHen your cooling fan came on did it run good was it slow to turn on? I would check the motor by just apply battery power to the connector and check and make sure the fan motor isn't acting up or taking a shit like everyone says.

And you can if you wanted to test that ect switch or fan switch. If you have a meter you can check the resistence values when it get to like 190 or maybe even up to 200F. I think your fan should come on around 196F iam not sure on that but its a logical tempature for most fans on automotive vehicles to come on. At or around that tempature.


And this is providing that you did bleed the coolant system properly. And make sure that your coolant is topped off if its to low that fan won't come on. or come on late.
