Default Honda Accord problems.

I took the keys out of my car and the cooling fan (I think) was still running. It ran for 20 minutes after. I didn't know what to do. And I don't know what it would be.
My antifreeze is full. My radiator was just replaced.

Any thoughts?

The radiator fans will run whenever the car is hotter than its supposed to be regardless of engine state. You might have air in the radiator which is reducing the cooling ability or low oil which is creating excessive heat in the block. either way theres nothing wrong with the fans running with the car off.

suggest moving to honda/acura tech
other then that it can be normal, you can replace your temp sensors if they havent been replaces in a while

Bleed the air out of the system. Do you know where the air bleeder is?

It's normal for some cars to run the fan for a while until the water cools back down.-Bob

If you have no coolant leaks check for a sticking cooling fan relay.

No its not normal. I would check your cooling fan relay. It shouldn't get that hot. Pull your relay out maybe swap it with the condensor fan relay and try it or see if someone you know or a parts store has a relay tester. Other things to consider would be a sticky thermostat or faulty fan switch.

you do know that ur engine is hotter when the motor is off then with it running. with the coolant in suspension and nothing to move it, with heat still building. just because the motor is off does not mean that its all of a sudden going to be cooler.

I had an Accord and used to do that, its normal. Well, not for 20 minutes, but couples of minutes.
