Default obd1 conversion question

ok i just got done doing my obd1 conversion and its throwing some codes its throwing a 4 and 41 the 41 is due to the o2 sensor i think. the 4 is the crank angle postion sensor. nowmy question is before i did the conversion it never had any codes never had the crank angle problem at all i am also running a p06 that will be converted to a p28 i just used the p06 to start it to make sure that everythign is done right. what would cause it to throw the code 4 any help would be appreciated

Sounds like a bad wire in the conversion hanress. Leave the harness connected and run a continuity test from the ecu conversion harness to the crank angle sensor wires on the distributor plug. There are two wires related to the crank angle sensor. If you don't have continuity with the harness attached try it without and use the obd2 pinouts. Sounds like a wire has a break or is crossed.

Tuner won't be able to do much if your car has a code 4. Don't worry about the 41.

That is the crank fluctuation sensor. It is used to detect missfires and is not a true crank angle sensor. That is an obd2 only sensor and the obd1 ecu will not throw a code if that sensor is broken or unplugged. Your problem is elsewhere.
