Default over heating?

I Have An Ef With An Eg Single Core Half Size Radiator. The Fan Is Wired In To Run Constantly And After Running It For 20 Or So Minutes The Needle Gauge Starts To Go Up Alittle Bit And Will Fluctate Up And Down And Then Go All The Way Up To The Red Line Andstay Somewhere Up There Until I Shut My Car Off. I Drove With The Needle At The Red Line For Like 10 Min Until I Got Home And Poped The Good And Everything Was Fine No Smoke No Coolant Shooting Out Nothing. So What Could Be The Problem? Gauge Is Bad Or What. I Have Header Wrap Around My Downpipe And My Fan Is In Front Of My Radiator Blowing Into The Engine Bay

What motor...how many psi of boost...I know the eg radiators are kind of small for a turbo application especially if b-series equiped. I would get a low temp thermostat along with a new double stack radiator. Should fix your problems.

... kinda sounds like a bubble is floating around in there screwing with the temp sender. Id try (when the motor is cold) uncapping the radiator cap, letting the bubbles come out, and have the fan kick on twice.

Air bubble, t-stat, radiator. I think they nailed it down.

General rule: go with the cheapest repair first, or the easiest.-Bob

yep, I just did the exact same thing you're going through now.

Except I didn't do one thing at a time, I replaced the radiator, cap, thermostat, and new coolant all at once and bled all the ait bubbles out. Needless to say, my problem no longer exists.
