bov placement
We like them as close to the turbo to prevent comp. surge on the larger turbo setups. Working on placing it on the end tank, hot side of the IC to hide the BOV.

youre right, its better closer to the turbo. Main reason being, that it keeps the rest of the system, including the IC, pressurized, and allows you to keep your turbo RPMs up for more instantaneous boost when you resume throttle.
it doesnt matter where you let the air out of a pipe, the pressure in the pipe will drop regardless
for example, my boost gauge is tapped into my intake manifold, according to the theory in bold, when my boost gauge shows 20psi, my fmic is seeing 25?
i've actually never heard of this being a question before, i would assume that releasing the pressure is releasing the pressure.
im interested to hear more opinions on this

i would think that as long as it releases preassure and keeps the boost from dramatically dropping it doesnt matter where u put it. get a few pieces of pipe n connect em n c what u like the best if u really want the best spot, OR u could take a look at where it is in all of the bolt on kits and just slap it in there. u would think that the ppl that make these kits have to know something about it.
