I Think Its The Way Tr Is Set Up To Post If You Type In All Caps.

You are going to overspin the turbo. It is going to see too many rpms and kill the CHRA. Take it off now or you will ruin it.

Uhmm... well. I don't think it's going to "overspin" the turbo. But that is just my personal opinion. As for it not "making an airplane sound" it's probably because a lot of turbos won't spool when you just rev a motor. The motor has to be working to put out enough exhaust (ie- driving hard) to propel a turbo. So just finish the system when you get the chance, and after it's all hooked up see if you are getting boost.
most turbos are designed to go about 130k rpm, probably not a range it would see with no load revving. but definately attainable if he is driving around trying to goose it through gears.

*edited to keep it to tech . thank you . chi town brat moderator
You are so far from right... You WILL overspin the turbo and DESTROY it by running it with no charge pipes connected as there is no kind of backpressure on the compressor side, or boost referencing to the wastegate to reliease excess exhaust gasses and prevent it from overspinning...

I was giving my opinion on that first statement, which is why I typed that it was my "personal opinion". I didn't know we had a professional in here who knows everything about turbos and can talk shit about someone else for giving an opinion. And I can almost guarantee that he will not "destroy his turbo" if the motor is not producing any working pressure. But then again, that is my personal opinion and is from my personal experience. But, I don't want to ruffle anyone's feathers.
