SOHC VS. DOHC gas mileage
The hell if i remember i was figuring my mpg with the trip odometer like i always have.Back in 01 gas was prob 1.15 per gallon so i was prob spending waaaay under $100 a month.I filled up prob once a week.
My old 97' Civic CX Hatch got 35-37mpg on the Hwy and 33-35 when it was half city/hwy driving. That was when it was NA with I/H/E. After a Greddy 15g kit, JRC FMIC, P28, and misc. mods it was getting the same if not slightly better gas millage. It's all in the tuning under light load, and in the RPMs where you spend most of your time driving.

Now that is bullshit and also SIG material.....lol
OK now first off all i decided to be realistic when posting this thread. There is no way in hell you get 30+ MPG on a turbo eg. a brand new corolla gets around 30 - 38 MPG, so what you're saying is your turbo 9 year old 1.6L engine gets just as much or more gas mileage than a brand new stock 07 corolla with a 1.6L.? I think you might want to re-think those numbers chief.....
Now before the thread gets flooded with people making outrageous claims like mentioned before with absolutely no proof, i'll say this. this right here was a meager estimation, without me grossly exaggerating. I'm sure if I was more precise in my calculations i could get at least 25+ MPG as an accurate number. I fill my gas tank up once a week for 25 bucks and drive an average of about 35-40 Miles a day stop and go ALL CITY with the AC on. Now i don't know what cars you have but 40 miles back and forth stop and go with ac blasting all the time and only having to fill up once a week aint bad IMO......

your dumb. You can still get great gas millage if you stay outa boost
My N/A GSR Gets 30 MPG City. It tuned also, which helps. And thats also driving pretty normally except every once in a while i like to have a lilttle fun.

most tuners dont touch your "daily driving" tables. there is no gains to be had there that would affect a race situation.

i have a 94 integra automatic ls. the bitch only gets about 225 miles on a full tank. it really sucks cause my gf and i drive about 3k miles a month and thats alot of gas money. my old 91 civic w/ a d16y7 dpfi used to get 350 miles on a full tank
did a little experiment this weekend. I filled up with exactly 5 gallons on thursday last week and then reset my odometer. I am up to 125 miles now and she is a few clicks just above the redline. I figure i got about 20-25 more miles before the gas light, lights up. so taking another gross estimate i'd say i got about 27-30 MPG
