rpm gauge problem

Default rpm gauge problem

i got a 94 prelude and my rpm gauge is set to idle at 2k wen it is really at 700 and 800 so its basically like 1200 off and some times it jumps around can anyone tell me how to fix it thanks

oh and i know the rpm cuz my V-AFCII

tachs go bad after a while...its no suprise its reading a lil off. sounds like something got wet that didnt need to get wet. maybe an electrical problem. id say the first thing to do is take it apart n clean everything real well first....n then c how it works.
