i bought a tranny from a guy here, which is a 2000 ex civic manual tranny..and someone helped me to swap that tranny into my eg..
after swap..everything went well..there is no grinds..and it actually pulls hard...maybe because i used to have a bad tranny
but i can not find the 5th gear on this tranny...i can shift into 5th gear but
cant feel any power..it is like step on the nuetral..
now..is it possible that someone took away the 5th gear from that tranny?
and also when shift in nuetral..the shifter will stay between first and second gear
it will not stay at center which is between 3rd and 4th gear..
and whoever sold me that tranny...u are a dishonest person...

when you hit the gas does it free rev? or is it just a different gear ratio than you are used to?

were 4 speeds available in the eg's/ek's? i know the 88-91 civic some came with 4 speeds. is it cable or hydro?

no not at all..shift very smooth and pulls really hard from first gear to forth gear..and 5th does not seem to be existed..

 

the gear could be worn to the point that its flattend. im not sure i know nothing about transmissions.

 

What kind of mounts do you have?

 

u mean trann mount? i think it is eg stock ...i am not sure
