removing steering nuckle
yeah the grease gets everywhere and sometimes you tear the boot...i just use a nice heavy hammer and 2 good hits knocks em free.... make sure you remove the tie rod first, not last. and if you do tear the boot they sell poly ones at autozone.
Okay, say your looking at the hub, on the drivers side.
(I assume you have the tie rod off.)
Turn the knuckle clockwise(towards the front)
Now, where the balljoint is, the lower one, you will see a sort of bump that sticks out a bit, between the bushing and the threaded part.
With one hand, hold the knuckle up, lifting if you can, and hit that bump part. It may take a few good hard hits, but it will pop out. By doing it this way it will save you the money of having to replace the ball joint.
I am trying to find a pic to help describe it...
