Heh with my luck with this car it will fail...... some how..... if it doesnt work this last time im taking the head off tommorow.

im gonna sell the car as it sits, im done messing with it. Or im gonna take it mudding till it blows! then sell it.

But really how do you place the head gasket so it wont move on you when you set the head on??

Like I stated before why does the Dual port head have to cirular tabs and the Dx head only has one?????

How the hell do you set the Gasket so it doesnt move when you put the head on?????? thats my biggest question now!!!!!

The gasket shouldnt be able to move. This time when you take the head off check the head surface and block surface for straightness with a straight edge and feeler gauges

There should be dowel pins that will be in the block, that will hold the head straight. Look in the head they might be stuck in there. If they are get some needle nose pliers and pull the dowel pin out and put it in the block. If you do that guaranteed the gasket will not move.

find out what the tq specs are for that motor & the order you have to do them in. If the head isnt tightened down properly you will never get a good seal.

how long has the motor been running with the new head?
It can take a good solid 20 minutes to empty the exhaust of all of the water and crap that was in it. I did a 240sx and it took almost an hour to blow it all out. It had aftermarket headers, 3 in exhaust, hi flow cat and some weird muffler. It looked like the head gasket was bad. if it revs fine and has the power it should, it might just be a full exhaust.... maybe....
