Default So I Lowered My Car But....

the Driver's Side Rear Shock Gave Me So Much Trouble That I Had To Go And Get A New One. I Went To Advanced Auto Parts And They Gave And Bought A 60 Dollar Shock. Now I Installed It But As I Was Driving Home Its Knocking Like Its Loose And I Dont Know What To Do I Tightened Everything Up But Its Loose. Then I Got Some Tein Springs That Were Supposed To Be A 1.9 In The Front And A 1.7 In The Back And It Doesnt Even Look Like Its That Low I Mean Does It Take A While For Them To Break In Or Something? And Can Any Help Shed Some Light On My Knocking Problem??? Thanks

you have one spring with aftermarket ish on it and the rest are oem, so your back id assume is lowered and the rest is stock? that'll cause some issues. sounds like a poor install.

yea... i would never recommend anyone replace shocks one at a time...

especially on older cars, where the other three shocks are pretty worn, and you got a fresh one that probably doesnt have the same bound/rebound rates.

id suggest you either get at least another new shock for the other back side, or just replace em all...

and did you say $60 for an OE replacement shock? you know u can get tokicos or AGXs for like $70-80 right? might as well upgrade em all. if nothing else, it will ride a lot better. (esp. with a 2" drop)
