I finally got my retainer from skunk2 today took it straight to united speed world and they installed it in about 5 minutes. Right now I'm waiting on bearings to get here so I can put it all together.


The head recieved a pressure test, 3 angle valve job, valvetrain installed, the oil pasage tapped and plugged, and was resurfaced all of this was done by United Speed world for $322.07

I got the bottom end assembled today, everything checked out good and was within spec. I might throw the head on tonight when I get home from work.

Do you have a pic of this angle from the exhaust side. I've heard the ctr heads have a slight bowl port on the exhaust side as well as the intake side but I've never seen one in person.

For anyone interested you can see in this pic the slight oem bowl porting done on the intake side of CTR/ITR heads. This is one way you can tell for sure if the head someone is selling you is an itr head or a b16a head. ITR heads I know for a fact have only bowl porting done on the intake side. Pre 98 the porting was done by hand, 98+ heads were done robotically. The inconsistent handporting is why some 97 and older heads run better than some others

Well... It's a longblock now, I'd have to admit I didn't think I'd see this day couple times, neither did alot of people. Anyway it's not done till it's in the car and driving. It could blow up when I go to turn it on.

Alot of OEM hottness
