Default Hondata tune?worth it?

i was looking into doing the hondata tune to my ITR wich currently has I/H/E and adding cam gears to it also with the tune, would it be a smart move of mines to do so? i mean it will b professionally installed and dyno tuned. but its kinda pricey if u ask me. i mean its the S100 with obd1 wiring harness, and program, tuning then the camgearsi dont expect a HUGE hp Increase but sufficient enough i think.. ive heard about crome but also heard its a cheap way around it and will sacrifice a lil of my gas milage... or just forget about the whole tuning thing bcuz its a wate of over a grand? LMK ur opinions, i need a decision and iam a new honda owner so dont kno anything about it!!!!!

I don't know who has been feeding your brain false information.
Hondata & Crome are both very simular except crome ends up costing the end user (You) less money ($200+ dollars).

For a better understanding as to how things work, read over an efi introduction guide I wrote on phearable.net

Here is an example of what tuning can do on a simular application to yours:

That is complete bs. Crome & Hondata do the same exact thing minus or plus a few features from software to software. I have tuned over 100 cars on crome, all of them get great gas milage. Several b18c motors doing over 30mpg depending on the driving nature of the vehicle owner.

I can vouch for that... LOL... I love my gas mileage.

+1 For Crome and MtBer

Mtber said it. Crome and Hondata are very similar. Their GUI's are different and some features are different. You will be happy with either given a good tune

This is a technical forum. Please do not post "call us or pm me" unless you are directly consulted by a member in a thread. If you would like to consult with customers directly please use pms or the TR shop forums.
