As we have seen, stock sleeves can take 500+ whp with proper tuning, however the question is, how long will the sleeves hold up to the abuse.

If you have concerns that you will eventually want enough power to put your sleeves at risk, simply sleeve the motor to 84mm and buy 84mm 9.0:1 pistons.

like mentioned 350whp will be plenty in a crx imo..anything else would be useless on the street without major mods that i wont be able to afford anytime soon...i plan to obtain 350whp..then work on the interior/exterior of the car..i just want to see if u guys think 350whp on 81.5mm sleeves will hold without problems...for atleast a yr..

You were also running a 60-1 turbo. That is why you made the decent power at 13psi. Race cars typically run race gas and therefore enable you to run higher compression. 8.5:1 compression on a race car would be stupid unless you just want to run a ton of boost on pump gas.

81.5 would be fine for 350whp just maintain the car and it will last forever. And also IM agreeing with 60-1EK 8.5:1 compression?? its not a dsm...my current setup is 9.5:1@30lbs

also depending which vtec head your using raises or lowers the compression approximately .2

b16 (pre3) casting will lower the compression if your trying to figure the gsr pistons those numbers are being based on a gsr head. Hope that made sense to you Eluzzionz.

yea i understand that..like mentioned though with the ls bottom end and b16 head with ur pistons itd be at 9.77 from what i calculated...since i cant find a FOR SURE -cc i went with -2cc since thats what it takes to make a gsr with 81.5 bore to 9.8:1 thx..
