Because they are cheap pistons.
Why not spend the extra money & get a quality piston that will take a little more abuse & has better tolerances.

Hey i used arias 10.1:1 on my 81.5mm gsr and made 340whp @13 psi on 93, with a daily driver tune by "the king" john vega. 10:1 is better for a street car because of the simple fact that off boost you will have more throttle response and pickup. you won't be riding at 10+ boost all the time, so why not have some good power in the mean time. 8.5 is for high hp race cars(30psi). 9.1-9.5 is better, but if all you want is 340-380 whp, go with the higher comp. thats from my personal expirience.

thats what i was thinkin..i dont want really anything over 350whp and i dont think anything over that will be necessary in a light 88 crx hf on street tires..stock axels etc..i dont feel like breaking anything but i def want an 11 second car..would u guys really and u guys meaning..kj mtber 99b16si be against 10:1 ..if i dont plan to go over the 350whp mark..i only have 550cc injectors as well..so i dont plan on anything higher then that..and i was hopin even during the break in process and for a while itll only b on 9psi since thats what the wastegate spring is..and i was hopin with just the spring and 10:1 id get atleast 300whp..and maybe 13-14psi reach 350whp..so just maybe some more info would be very helpful...

Turbocharged vehicles are like drugs. Once you get some you want more...
Using a 10.0:1 application on pump gas increases the possibility of knock on pump gas.
Go with 9.0:1 for a pump gas application and call it a day. The power difference between 9.0:1 and 10.1:1 on a turbo car is minimal in most cases.
