my cel just came on and my ecu is throwing a code 17?????? whats a code 17??????? thanxxxx

aight so where is the sensor????? i was going down the interstate doing like 95 and then my speed ohmeter quit working then like 2 mins later my cel light came on and the ecu started throwing the code?????? does this mean i have to repplace my whole motor???? the car still runs great.....

he was just joking god damn... But if your speed sensor stopped working, and then you threw a code, wouldnt you assume thats the problem? BTW the vss is 2 minute replacement that is cheap. Mines bad too and i just go with the flow of traffic, you should too if your hella lazy like me.

I just reset my ecu and it fixed mine, so give it a try

as for the VSS, like zhillz said, its a 2 min replacement, and i have a D16 spare for $15 if you find that you need it.

my car has a 1.5 man......sorry but im going to reset my ecu tomorrow but if that aint it ill get a new one

yea, the d-series VSS are all 100% interchangeable.

so my d16y7 VSS from '97 will work fine on yours, i think the plugs are even the same

hope the ECU reset helps ya
