Questions on a 4 lug 4x114 conversion
Hey,
I have a 4 lug 4x114 conversion on my 99'SI.
My question is were to buy new rotors at for it.Also I am looking for a big rotor kit what would I buy it for?97' type R? The conversion Its off a 97' Type R is that something I can get though Advance?
Thanks!

umm dont quote me on this but since prelude uses 4x114.3 i think u can buy their aftermarket rotors and caliper... but i dont see why u are trying to "upgrade" to a big rotor kit because a bigger rotor doesnt make much of a difference... the caliper covers the same amount of area clamped down when brakes are applied.
I would get your rotors checked and get aggrssive pads- for example hawk are really good for the money- I had this set up on my ek hatch w / k20 swap and the breaking was awesome-

accords also uses 4x114 not all..the v6's are 5 lug but something u can check into..and like a member said different calipers dont help...just get ur rotors cut if they are warped for like 15bucks each and then use some good new brake pads..

the same caliper is reused, so yes, it has the same pads and therefore the same area to clamp on the rotor...
however, the larger rotor is used because the caliper is positioned farther from the center of the rotor, thereby increasing torque on the brake.
(torque) = (force) x (moment arm or radius)
so if the force from the caliper clamping is the same, and the radius increases (farther from the center of the brake) then torque is increased, and you get more effective braking power.
