Ive used motor oil in transmissions before with no problem... if you are not going to beat the shit out of it it doesnt really matter... All the honda MTF is, is 10w30 motor oil with some dumb little friction modifier additive to condition the brass syncros... and no one can even confirm nor deny wether it works or not... I say if you are gonna drive ms.daisy, use motor oil, if not step up to syncromesh, syncromax, or redline mtl...

now listen up guys! us guys that have been in the game for a long time aint gonna steer ya in the wrong direction!!!! just like big chris just said, honda mtf is just motor oil ! sure it'll work in your tranny just fine, but so will wal mart engine oil !!!!! why pay 3 times the price for the same thing???

yea i been using 10w30 motor oil in my tranny and been running great no grinds or nething. when i first got my car it was grinding a little bit so i changed the fluid and the previous owner before me put GL-5 i think its 75-90 dont remember but i can tell so put 10w30 in it drove waitied a couple weeks flushed it out and put new oil in it and no problems since.

I've used 10/30 mobil 1 in my tranny and never had any issues
