Default My car won't start!!!!

Ok as some of you may know I made the other thread about replacing my head gasket, well I made a new thread now because not everyone looks at the last reply but this is my latest problem. Today I finally got everything set up and put together. I go to start my car......and it won't start! It trys too but that's as far as it goes. I don't know what the problem is.....is it a timing problem? I had everything set in the right place.....but since it's my first time doing this I guess maybe I fucked up somewhere else? I couldn't find anything out of it's place or any hoses or anything, I'm sure everything is conncected....I'd really like to drive my car again so please help lol.

Well I think making this thread was a little useless for me because after I made it I went out to my bros house to continue working on the car to see whats wrong and I didn't get a chance to check back up on this thread. But I got my car running now. I'm pretty sure it was the timing that was messing me up. But now I hear a noticeable clicking noise coming from the engine....it is the valvetrain??? Do I need a valve clearance??? Other then that it seems my throttle cable might be a little off because accerlation seems a bit funny but the car runs great now. Thanks for the help anyways guys.

the valvetrain is prolly noisy cause u didnt adjust the valves after u got the head back from the machineshop...just cause u got a valve job doesnt mean they adjusted the valves for u, just adjust the valves and u should b good to go

dont have time?

it takes an hour, tops, with jacking the car and dropping it...

the trick is not necessarily setting them to spec, but making it so they arent too loose or too tight... which is really close to spec, but measuring all of em isnt necessarily necessary
