Default Cyp?

I am throwing code #9 on my 91 civic. From what i have seen its a Cylinder Sensor. What does it do and how would it affect my car?

It is a sensor in the distributor, i just had this same problem in my car, it doesnt really hurt it to much you get a slight hesitation in lower RPM's. You can put in a new dizzy and it will solve your problem.
