!!STOCK 98 HONDA ACCORD (AUTOMATIC) Tranny HELP!!!
The car, is in tip top shape.. Its a 98 Honda Accord 4 door automatic. Im taking the car in to a shop tomorow to have some one look at it , but i wanted to see if any one has any ideas what it could be. Last night for some reason, when i put the car in Reverse all you hear is a huge grinding noise.. and if you tap the gas, it does not go on Reverse.. But I mean once u put it on Park, or even Drive, theres no noise, and that car runs perfectly, no tranny problems driving forward, seems like its something w/ REVERSE?
Could it be a Synchro on that reverse thats gone?........
Any ideas would be greatly apreciated thank you!....

welcome to the plaugue that is 6th gen Accords. The problem lies in the fact that they engineered the tranny wrong, and generally over time constant overheating causes tranny issues. Most likely you're gonna need a new tranny.
