honestly i think he just wanted to brag about what he made with a stock motor..cuz if he read this thread..he would of known that this is for a daily driver..not someone tryin to chance there motor...240whp on a stock b16 is plenty..thats about 100whp more then the thing puts down stock..cant complain..and im not doubting his or anyones ability to push that amount of horsepower on a stock motor..but its just not safe for someone who wants reliability over whp..i still recommend turbo over sc for more headroom..but 20lbs on a stock motor for a daily driver is retarded..
That's not his car. Just a car he tuned. His car made a little more than that being it trapped 155 the second time out
He was just stating what can be done with a stock bottom end given the right combination of parts, a great tune and ideal gas. I finished street tuning a daily driven B16a2 with an SC61E at 8.5lbs yesterday and I agree. When it hits the dyno I doubt I will push it over 300whp

I would put nitrous on a car before even fuckign with 240whp boosted
I'm doin a stock block LS with a decent size t3/t4 and it will be around 300whp Daily driver.

alright well goodluck on that..but a b16 with 240whp isnt bad being as its stock..and show me a 240whp n/a..i have maybe 200whp in my lsvtec and i paid 1500 to get that done..but either way im leaving a safe spot..see..u guys live in this world of monkey see monkey do..just bcuz u can make that amount on a stock motor..doesnt mean u have to..u guys are just tryin to push the safe limits which is cool for ur own shit..but dont try to make someone push more then what there stock motor can handle..u gotta realize already the b16 is at 10.4:1..10lbs is plenty on that..yea u can put more..obviously but forwhat? to jepordize the motor..its just ignorant and askin for trouble..if he wants..fawk it..put 20lbs like the one guy..and make as much hp as possible BUT..dont complain that u listend to the jackass's on tr that told u to push it til it blows and now ur out a motor and hopin someone will lowball so u can buy a new b16 bottom end....
im done arguin with stupid people...tell the guy who wants his b16 sc or turbo..that TR wants him to run turbo at 60psi..with a good tune..and pray it last a yr..if not..o well..ur out a motor....when people have motors that last 5yrs boosted and still bang them..thats impressive..but for someone to waste 2-5thousand for one year..thats ridiculous..being in the game..thats just retarded...just for instance..go ask john vega..which some hate him some love him etc..but hes an awesome tuner and more then half of TR can back that..see what he thinks..and how intelligent it would be to do some of this garbage stuff...or would u not classify him as "in the game long enough"?
hell, john wilson just dyno'ed his del Sol build at 298 whp @ 8.5 psi... so a reasonable 10 psi on stock internals should be up to around 305-315 ish...
my point was that 22 psi on stock internals is NOT going to be a reliable street car for very long...
