Alright here's my issue. I got a 98 prelude sh. I was backing out of the driveway and when i did i think i blew out my front drivers side shock. And every since then i've been bouncing around like breasts during a jog... So ive been looking into some shocks but they say the exclude the SH. But another website said that it excludes the sh but can work with a set with lowering springs.

Now i know that if you just put lowering springs on oem shocks, that it puts a lot of stress on the shocks and makes them wear out faster. So what should i do? Should i just get oem shocks and lower or put some sport shocks and springs? Please lmk what i should do. I need to get this done as soon as possible.

i would suggest that if you are going to buy shocks regardless, you might as well upgrade. they will ride almost as good, but hold up a lot better on a lowered car.

as for the 'they dont work on an SH' problem, there has to be somebody who makes type SH shocks, you just gotta find em.

btw, how do you like the ATTS? you play around with it a lot?

 

Ya im definately gonna look a lil harder. I just wanna get this issue resolved.

But as for the ATTS, I LOVE IT!!!!! We i get on the onramp to go to work i take that junk at 60 no problems. And there are a few turns around my house that are pretty fun but i started loosing traction at like 95 so im looking for ways to eliminate that... So i figure by lowering the car and make it stiffer with braces and shit i can maybe do the turns at 100 which would be pretty fun .

I have a video of some turns around somewhere ill post it for ya...

is your car already lowered, or do you have like 17's on it? the pic in your sig looks like the front tire is not-stock-distance from the fender...

 

No its not lowered yet. I do have 17's but i found some shocks for the sh. The only downside is there $200 dollars a piece... but im still looking

 

If you will buy the better shocks, I can use your OEM springs and lower it. I also know how to measure it so it won't eat your tires. PM me.

Be aware that some mfg's springs will only work if
you also buy their el-expenso adjustable coilovers.-Bob
