Well the thing is the cam plug (seal) is good but I am almost 100% sure that the distributor o-ring is bad. In the How-to above it says to not turn the fins, is he referring to the little notches on the dist. that goes into the camshaft? Would it be detrimental to twist or turn that after removal?

On another note, is there any place locally that sell this kind of cam seals? eBay Motors: GOLDEN EAGLE CAM SEAL TRIPLE O-RING SEAL DOHC VTEC (item 230057104414 end time Dec-05-06 09:01:36 PST)

Before I remove a dizzy, I remove the cap and mark the position of the rotor against the housing.

I also mark the position of the dizzy housing against the head.
------------
That way when I pull the dizzy horizontally, I can replace the seal/o-ring
lube it, and return the dizzy back into the head, rotate the housing until
the housing marks line up, and the rotor marks should line up, too.

If the rotor marks DON'T line up, I pull it back out JUST ENOUGH
to rotate the rotor (almost never more than 1 tooth off), and reinsert the dizzy. Both marks should now line up.....or I remove, rotate slightly and re-insert the dizzy until they do line up.
---------------
The absolute cheapest dizzy/o-ring seals come from NAPA.

I carry my dizzy to NAPA, ask them to get a dizzy from the parts shelf that duplicates mine, they will measure the size of their O-ring, and sell me one the same size........cooperative guys! If I try to buy it as a "seal" it costs more.

Good luck, and let us know how things go.-Bob
