Default B20 Up and runnin

I got my car fixed thanks to Mike Yonke, but there are some issues that are stumppin me. Ok first off this man is a genius wen it comes to fixin HA's. lol. ok my question is that around 5k rpms the car sorta drops off.. like it backfires and it seems like no Vtec or any power is comin. now the setup i have as most of you have read is a B20/Vtec w/ 8.8:1 CR Deep Dish CP Pistons on a sleeved block and a stock B16 Head. What could be causin this. the gas in the car has been in the tank for almost a month.. could that b it or just b/c of the low CR.. for now hte car is NA until funds arrive to turbo it

Have Mr. Vega & company put a wideband on it ASAP. It would be a shame to fry/wash out those new rings or burn some exhaust valves on that expensive setup.

Lots of time & effort could be wasted by not getting it tuned , even before going boost.
