Default LS/VTEC Build

Well I finally got my Parts back from the Machine shop. I have a new Balanced and polished 89mm LS Crank. Also got my Rods Done. Installed new CTR pistons on ShotPeened Rods. Check out my pics.

Went to install the Main Bearings. I ordered ACL Race Bearings but one of them ended up defective and didn't go in snugged. Didn't want to take the chance so sent them back. Waiting on them to finish up.

81mm CTR Pistons on LS Rods On ARP ROD bolts. Had to Machine the Ends of the Rods for more clearance between the Rod and pistons. All i have to do is Retorque the ROD bolts 3 more times to stretch them out and i'm good to go.

All of my Bottom End Goodies. B16 Oil Pump, Bearings, and Piston rings.

Valve Cover Waiting to be Put on. But in the mean time it's chillin under my tool Box at work.

In the mean time while i'm waiting on my Main Bearings. Maybe I'll give you a Glimpse of What i'm Making. DIY ITB's 2006 GSXR 600 T/B. With the Help of a Fellow Honda-tech Member i got inspired to do a set-up. I had a Extra B16 intake Manifold and thought i'd give it a try. Fabrication is underway. Running RC 370cc

Basically more Pics will be up. If all goes right I hope I'd be MTBER first 12.4:1 CR LS/VTEC ITB Tune from what I believe..

More pics of the Build will be up soon. Hopefully I get my Bearings back within the next week.

Let me know what you think.

Nice block setup. Not a fan of ACL bearings tho (especially race bearings....why did u choose those???) save 100 bucks somewhere else...not on bearings

Yeah didn't really thought about it for I got them. Didn't know people hated them. Some did like them. But Just wanted a Set of bearings that will take 8500+ RPM's

Are the Torque Sequence for the END Caps for the LS the same as a B16?

if your talking about main caps....yes

the race bearings run a little extra clearance compared to the standards, not good for anything besides a race car.

Oem Honda bearings work perfect and u can acheive equal bearing clearances without machining by choosing different colot (thickness) bearings

just aim a little on the looser end for the rod bearings -.015 roughly

Thanks for the Info. Yeah it's basically Race motor/Daily driving. I beat the shit out of my motor. Thought it can handle my driving circumstances. Thanks though for the input.
