that sounds quite normal for idle.

then id say either your injectors are not working properly, or your TPS/MAP/IACV isnt working properly, which is allowing the engine to choke.

also we werent sure how to hook the oil catch can up. it seems to b a knock off greddy old style. it has 2 nipples on the top and one on the bottom and it came with the block. on the back of the block the huge bolts on either side of the oil filter have nipples so we are running the two top to each nipple and then the bottom one goes to the IM. Ive run thru the net but no such setup like this.

You should consider junking the greddy style can and get your self a moroso style or endyne can with a breather at the top of it.

Concerning smoke comming out of your oil pan... ???
I have never once heard of this happening.

Good Luck.

Do you have a p30 or a chipped p28 that you can try? I could be wrong but isnt the p72 ecu from a gsr? I wonder if it's trying to fing the other "flaps" (cant think of what they are) that the gsr intake manifold has. Mtber am I right or does that not matter? Just curious.

The issue is not the ecu looking for IABs.
The issue sounds to be mechanical and or the ecu needs to be tuned for the 2.0L bseries in the vehicle.

It's throwin codes 14 (IACV), 16 (Injectors) and 22 (VTec Pressure valve) any suggestions? It idles fine and this ecu was in my old b16a2 setup. The P72 is OBDI also and i think it has been tuned, but it looks liek its an internal piggyback. im used to external ones and piggybacks for V8's. that sorta stumpd me. Thanks

Sounds like a hondata Ecu maybe...i dunno, take a pic and post it up.

The fuel injector Cel is your main problem. As well as the iacv.

What you need is a new ecu that has been chipped w/ a "stock" b20vtec basemap, and get rid of all the codes , i guarentee you that is where your problem is at. Then have the car tuned.

Contact MTBER get with him about it, im definately sure he can fix you up.

hey i am having the same issue, rough idle. i first got a CEL code 16 (injectors) i changed them and the code went away. now i have a CEL code #1, which is the o2 sensor. I dont have any other codes but that one. I really am loss right here. would an o2 failure cause the car to idle rough like it's going to shut off? should i disconnect it so that reads like it's not there? anyone has any insight on this. the car ran fine vtec engange and everything the other day then i go the injector code, and now o2 sensor code which is the only one. I am runing a P72 obd1 ecu....
