i saw these little resistor things on ebay that people were saying you could buy at radio shack i was wondering if it does anything at all and were it goes under the hood i know it goes to a wire but dont know which even it does nothing i would still like to know were it goes and what it really is just for the sake of knowing

a resistor is just an electrical part that is used in practically every circuit on earth. they have a specific resistance (in ohms) and produce a drop in voltage.

a resistor by itself will do nothing but harm your electrical system.

if you mean a resister box, they are used to change the voltage levels for certain types of fuel injectors, and thats about the only aftermarket resistors you would ever need....

 

it's all a scam trust me just dont even waste your time. get the car tuned right and put bottle on it if you want more power quickly.
