actually, as i recall, and according to the honda parts catalog (items # 22 and 23) there are washers on both the fill and drain plugs.

the OEM bolt, with the washer, torqued to spec, should NOT LEAK at all. if you need to use gasket sealer, you either need a new washer, or your bolt is not tight enough.

thanks but from the pictures it looks like i undid #14 and #15. this is a b series tranny iof this will help any. i always tighten my stuff real good but will look into re-tightening and or if i need a new bolt thanks. what about the loctite and the honda bond idea?

its the same with whatever bolts you undid. honda doesnt seal anything other than the trans housing/clutch housing from the factory, so torque specs should do it.

but if puch comes to shove, then get some gasket maker/hondabond and put some on the threads. it should work just fine.

and just so you know, that pic is a B16 S4C trans.

will look into re-tightening it, but i will also look into getting some honda bond and put it on there one time so i will have some extra security. thanks for the ifo. it is much appreciated.
