Default Starting a new little project!

Ok well i disassembled my b16 block today to get it ready to be bored out to 82mm when i get my pistons in...Basically im tryin to build a medium/high performance engine, not to high but something that can go..so far all i have is the block im lookin for a head soon but right now, but all i have so far is 82mm high comp. pistons for the block and lookin into a golden eagle girdle..would some of you guys' advice on what parts i should get to make this build successful. I would greatly appreciate it...

But right now im lookin for a shell of any honda/acura must be VERY CLEAN! with great suspension (stock) thanks pleace give me some advice on the motor!

how much do you wanna spend and how much hp are you looking to hit... the easiest way to figure this out would be to decide how much hp you want, how reliable you want the car to be, make a price range... then we can give you some better ideas on parts.

you are putting in 82mm nippon pistons right?

180-200hp...
well...u already have 82mm pistons and are already overboring your motor to 82mm...
to hit that goal i would say you would need in the least... the vtec head, some small stage1 vtec cams, you may wanna p&p your head... get a good intake manifold with a intake, have a good header, and get a good tune... plus u may wanna get new rods... if you had a broke piston... i would say your rods are pretty worn out
i think this much would get you in that area of hp...

to total it all up... i would say you would need to spend...
eagle rods- $330 new
vtec head- find a cheap one on here- anywhere from 100 to 300
intake mani- a b16 intake mani would be sufficient- find this on here - no more than $100
cams - anywhere from 200-400 depending on what profile- i would go with crower... they have good sets on ebay in the range of $300+
port and polishing the head - Car Quest by my house would do this for $295

i would say for no more than 1200 dollars, you could have a pretty strong/quick car...

im not too too familiar with the b16 motor... so if anyone who has had one and has gotten 180-200 hp... feel free to throw in some advice...

get the eagles...
i think it would be a good idea... u uaually wouldnt want to use any of the old stuff if it is that badly worn... cuz then you would have to take it all apart and rebuild it again... do it right the first time... and remember if you go the cheap route... you will get a cheap build... a wise man once told me....

cheap, fast, and reliable <--- pick 2
if its cheap and fast - its not reliable
if its reliable and cheap - its not fast
if its fast and reliable - its not cheap
