Default 2002 RSX-S Turbo Dyno run

Hey folks, just thought I would show you all a recent Dyno session I had with a customer that owns a 2002 RSX-S that has a semi-custom Turbo Kit on it..

Im sure the owner doesnt want a steal me list on the internet, but here is a few goddied the car is running with

PTE SC61 turbo
Small FMIC!!!!
Revhard cast manifold
750cc injectors
KPro EMS
Comp Stage 4 Clutch kit
Eagle rods
And Wiseco 9:0:1 compression slugs.
and a few other small goddies

The car is capable of more HP but the owner only wanted 400-450WHP as it is a daily driven car

The car was said to be pre tuned but the 1st pull showed different as the A/F readings were pegged out below 10:1. It took me over 2yrs to get the A/F to anything resembling a reasonable A/F number. But on the last few pulles while upping the boost and adding timing the car began to creat alot of boost leaks and IAT temps went through the roof. Later we found the leaks and also to our dissmay a damaged compressor whell on the turbo. Thus the reason for the lack of power increase when bringing the boost pressure up from 15PSI to 20PSI, and the wobble at high RPM's. So after a long day of small troublesome problems we called it quites and planned to give it another try after the boost leaks were fixed and the turbo was replaced.

All in all the motor still held its own putting down some very nice numbers and the TQ was right there with the HP numbers which as we all know is rare in ANY 4 cylinder application..

Anyhoo enjoy

This dyno run was made on close to 16PSI with boost leaking in a few small spots.

Its pearl white. And the boost would fall off at high RPM's. The wobble is even worse due to the fact that the coil on plug and dyno dont like each other we had a hell of a time getting an accurate TQ reading/RPM pick-up reading. You can see in the logs were boost would reach 18psi and ride out and then fall off and try to pick back up. The cause was loose couplers, and a loose BOV V-Band clamp.. besides the fact that the turbo was completely destroyed the next day(every fin on the turbo is damaged!!)

Very nice. Damn turbo cars. How much power do you think is to be regained with a healthy turbo?
